Toddlers and Science
Science brings in the world around your child and lets them interact through their senses. Our science area is designed to be perceptible by touch, sight, sound, and smell. These interactions are all built into the curriculum. The Toddlers are taken out into our Audubon setting with so much to explore in the fresh air and experience nature first hand.
Toddlers and their colorful world
Through art, Toddlers learn fine motor skills, color awareness, free expression and learn what pride feels like upon completion. They are exposed to the masters both in art and music. They are introduced to many forms of medium, and art tools. Music is part of the classroom every day. Seasonal songs, background music, and music from other countries are all part of their day. Toddlers are natural born engineers and with the manipulatives in the classroom they build amazing things.
Hands on STEAM
Even toddlers learn math concepts through patterning, numerical representation, ordinal numbering. and shape recognition. They experience this when lining up, singing songs, or sitting in a certain pattern at circle time. Their daily schedule lends itself to the fundamental awareness that Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math is all around them to explore within their classroom.
